Blake spent nearly a decade in the aviation industry as a pilot, fleet maintenance director, and private consultant. However, in 2020, as the aviation world came to a standstill, he noticed something else in the stillness—airports were empty, but the air indoors felt more important than ever.
People needed a dependable, portable method to enhance the air they breathe—something that truly worked.
With that conviction, Blake turned to the person he trusted most—his father, a seasoned Gulfstream aerospace engineer. Drawing on years of hands-on experience with bipolar ionization systems used in private jets, they launched their mission: to create a powerful, filter-free air purifier that anyone could use, anywhere.
However, the foundation of Ionix Flow was laid well before that. In 2012, their engineering team contributed to the installation of some of the first bipolar ionization systems in aircraft. Throughout the years, they observed the technology evolve—proven, certified, and increasingly adopted in hospitals and commercial buildings.
In January 2020, they started designing the first Ionix Flow prototype. From a hand-built metal shell to a functional plastic-cased version, each prototype brought them closer to their goal: high-performance air purification in a small, accessible form.
They didn’t wait for the market; instead, they sent early versions to friends and family, especially those working in healthcare or with respiratory sensitivities. The results were immediate: measurable improvements in indoor air quality, peace of mind, and a growing sense of purpose.
Ionix Flow isn’t just a device—it’s a promise: that clean air is accessible to everyone, no matter where life takes you.
